youtube

starting with the lame part, i made a new video it's this. anyway yeah using this as an excuse to talk about youtube and how much i Hate it. this platform just keeps getting worse and worse and worse but we'll never truly switch to something else because all its competitors are either not free or not good, for the most part. and even if a new site does pop up that's decent, like frickin VidLii or something, everyone is too used to youtube and it's already ingrained in the social culture of the world right now so much that even if the integrity and public image of youtube was completely destroyed, most people will just keep using it because it's what they know. they removed video responses, they removed annotations, they removed the youtube private messaging system, they removed community contributions, they hid dislikes, and now they're gutting playlists, too. hell, the first time i used youtube was around 2012 or 2013, and i can't remember a time where comment dislikes were public. next thing you know, they're gonna get rid of comments altogether, and we'll just... keep using youtube, because it's what we know. even if it's mangled so much it becomes a glorified advertising machine, it's still just what we know, so most people will stay, even if there was a mass migration off youtube, there have been so many attempts at replacements or alternatives for youtube that everyone would scatter to a different site. grian on dailymotion, mrbeast on vimeo, cgp grey on storyfire, who knows! all i know is that if the current management continues, youtube is going to be nearly unusable. EXCEPT THAT'S WHAT LITERALLY EVERYONE KNOWS AT THIS POINT! i haven't said anything that wasn't pretty much self-evident this whole time! that's because this outcome is pretty much inevitable, and since we aren't corporate overlords, there's nothing we can really do about it. in conclusion, youtube has no hope it is hopeless subscribe to my youtube channel.
